Claire Cockerton is a serial entrepreneur who has founded, grown and exited several innovative companies.

The continuous thread running through her work has been her support of entrepreneurship, the innovation process and economic growth. Since her Imperial College MBA thesis on best practices in technology transfer, business incubation and accelerator programming, Claire has set up innovation ecosystems in multiple countries and industries.

Claire’s skills span business modelling, architectural design, operational set-up and specialised service and programmes delivery. For the past decade, she has been building innovation hubs and running accelerators to help businesses start and grow. These are multi-stakeholder environments and she has an extensive network of government, academic, corporate and innovator contacts to bring to her projects.

Claire is a regular conference speaker and event host, and writes for various media outlets like Forbes. 

She is Chair of the JLabs Innovation Ecosystem Review Committee at University of Toronto, Advisory Board Member of Nexus Innovation Centre, Imperial College Ventures Mentor, and the delivery partner for the MIT Reap Entrepreneurship Programme in Leeds City Region. 

Claire is a member of the City of London Guild of Entrepreneurs, Tech London Advocates and a member of the Royal Society of the Arts.

A dual citizen, she blends Canadian values with British ingenuity. Her hobbies include reading, travel, exercise and gardening.
